LAST EDITION OVERVIEW

BABYCOOL PARIS GATHERED TOGETHER PROFESSIONALS IN THE BABY AND EARLY CHILDHOOD SECTOR FROM 1 – 3 SEPTEMBER 2018.

THE 15TH BABYCOOL TRADE FAIR INJECTED A NEW DYNAMISM INTO THE EVENT THIS YEAR, FEATURING A RECORD-BREAKING 267 BRANDS. 

The Family Day, organised in partnership with our KIDIWIZ web marketing agency, attracted various social media influencers.Thanks to our partnership with LES PROS DE LA PETITEENFANCE, we were able to open the exhibition to nursery and local government suppliers.Highly coveted and increasingly renowned prizes were awarded to childcare products including the Design Prize,the Innovation Prize, & the Parents’ Prize. 

The new arrival of the TOSC’ANNE Press relations agency this year was greatly appreciated by journalists.

The trade fair also featured conferences led by recognised professionals.

In conjunction with our partnership with Adress Company Baby, we carried out a consumer survey of 70,000 parents, receiving 1,282 responses.(for further information, please visit babycoolparis.com)

In total, 1,837 professional visitors were welcomed over3 days, a slight decline compared to 2017, due to the closure of several stores and the reduced number of employees invited to attend by buying syndicates, integrated supply chains, and independent retailers.

On the other hand, more buyers and decisionmakers attended this year (78% of visitors were either buyers or decisionmakers* and +3% companies attended the trade fair in 2018 compared to last year).

95% of professional visitors appreciated the organisation and hospitality of the trade fair (while 98% of exhibitors appreciated the organisation of the trade fair*).

THE Babycool Paris gala evening, which gathered together visitors and exhibitors in a convivial atmosphere, proved to be a great success.

250 brands on display

French, European, and international brands presented a preview of their new 2019 releases. In the same vein, the new 2019 releases will be on display this year. Babycool Paris is the leading European childcare trade fair. This year, more than 12 countries will be represented, alongside leading brands, including suppliers for early childhood centres.

50 new firms

We are always honoured to showcase new French and European firms to maximise their visibility on the French market and arouse curiosity. New suppliers mean new opportunities. Childcare suppliers are more than ever in tune with the needs of very young children.

2,000 visitors

The 2,000 visitors came mostly from independent stores with a surface area of between 50 and 3,000 m2, including 4 buying syndicates (Autour de Bébé, Bébé 9, Orchestra-Prémaman, and Made 4 Baby), as well as representatives of e-commerce and manufacturers.

12 presentations and workshops

The entire childcare sector will be present at the three-day fair. A series of presentations and special events will be organised around themes such as: physical trade in the childcare sector, the relationship between brands and influencers, childcare brand communication, and sustainable development in nurseries.

12 new awards

8 for the Parent’s Prize and 4 for the Design and Innovation Prize. The Mummy’s Prize, judged by 8 influential parent bloggers and KIDIWIZ Agency, gave awards to the most innovative products in 8 categories: at home, nomad, textile, play as you learn, eating, safety, travel and toilet / wellness.

The journalists chose 4 products. The 2018 innovation prize in the “small childcare products” category was awarded to the B-Thermo bib by the Bo Jungle brand, the innovation prize in the “large childcare products category” was awarded to the Jade by Bébé Confort, while the design prizes was awarded to the stroller Seed Papilio by Britax and Hoodie Carrier by Je porte mon bébé.
